Offering your students a monthly
(or quarterly) report card
can be a useful learning tool
as well as having benefits
for parental interaction and
free advertising.
For
younger students offering
a report on how they are doing
is a very good method for
offering encouragement. Adding
a few sentences in a comment
box as well will go a long
way to keeping the enthusiasm
levels up.
For
the instructor it’s
a good way to record improvements
and if needed a good way to
keep track of corrections
made.
Parents
will be pleased to see a professional
report about their child.
This should not be something
hastily written and passed
out. Take time to prepare
each one if you are going
to use this idea. Showing
that you care and are concerned
is of utmost importance to
parents; keeping them satisfied
with their child’s activities
is very important for student
retention.
Also
be having an attractive report
card for students, you are
virtually guaranteed free
advertising as this is something
students will want to show
off to their friends, take
to school and use for ‘show
& tell’, etc.
As
a learning tool, student’s
report cards are highly effective
to record regular individual
data, demonstrate club organization
to the parents as well as
having no-cost advertising
benefits. Download samples
