Active competitor and coach in both Uechi Ryu and NSKA tournaments. Consistent placement in medal rounds for myself and students in Sparring, Kata, Team Kata, and Kumite. EHUR takes great pride for it's reputation of it's membership's respect, honesty, honor, and good behavior in and out of the dojo.
Main martial art focus on reality self defence, especially the mental aspect of conflict, conditioning and control. Sport Karate is used for fun and "good stress". Major influences are the training methods of Shinyu Gushi, Art Rabessa, and Jim Maloney. Drills read on Rick Wilson's forums over the last year have been a huge influence on the self defence/mental training that I have passed on to our students.
