We should all stretch more!

I just wanted to share some information on a great book I picked up the other day; its called “Super Stretch “ and just may well be the easiest book to follow in the subject!

I have been struggling for years with flexibility and have tried numerous methods. I know that they are all beneficial however I have always been on the look out for a simple guide (complete with photos) to follow as well as one that is broken down into sections with emphasis on different body parts.

SuperStretch is the book I have been looking for!

I broke my back in 1995 ~ at the time I was told that I would not run again, let alone practice Karate. As you can imagine this was not something to easily accept!

I sought another opinion and was told that while I would have to deal with some limitations during the course of my life… I did after all suffer breaks in 3 places…. there were some options I was told to consider.

Flexibility was the key; something that was repeated to me years later in my first trip to Okinawa. I was told back then that a maintaining a regular stretch would definitely help my back as well as my overall health.

So now you see why I am so focused on stretching and general healthy living!

I try to maintain a daily stretch before work and of course find it beneficial, but I always wanted to learn more about how exactly stretching helps you; I am not a doctor so naturally I want to read up on the subject in ‘plain English’!

Luckily I came across this book and it does exactly what I was looking for; easy to follow, an easy to understand guide to stretching your body for health.

I thought I would share this with you, it means so much to me in my life and I am thinking you will find it of interest as well.

Here is a link to the book and should you grab a copy today. Please let me know how you find it after 2-3 weeks regular practice.

This is a fairly new book, just published last year. I grabbed the first edition and I suspect this will become a very successful stretching manual in the future.

Included are separate sections on warm ups, dynamic stretches, stretching your spine (VERY HELPFUL), stretching your hips and legs, upper body and finally gentle therapeutic stretches.

A little something for everyone!

Also the introduction does a wonderful job of explaining how the stretch moves vital joint lubricants back into place and how to develop an effective stretch routine.

I stretch for my health and I feel great; this books adds to the experience by answering key questions & by teaching me an increased variety of highly targeting stretches.
