Dear Readers;
A
warm welcome as we roll into
Spring of 2006! On behalf
of the editorial team at the
Uechi-ryu Journal, I would
like to thank you for supporting
this publication and for your
kind words of encouragement
over the past year.
When
the Uechi-ryu Journal first
materialized itself to be
an online publication I was
cautiously optimistic about
the success of the project.
I knew that the readership
would be somewhat limited
in numbers; however I was
also concerned about the content
which would be offered. Not
that I in anyway doubted the
ability to people to contribute,
rather that there was up to
that point very little authored
by Uechi-ryu practitioners.
I am happy to say that 2005
turned out to be a much bigger
success than I had hoped for!
While
it is true that the submissions
are modest in numbers, I do
see this project further developing
to cover a much wider range
of related topics as the readership
grows.
No
matter which association,
method or ‘style’
of Uechi-ryu you practice,
your submissions are welcome
and encouraged. As well, please
be sure to consider the printed
version of last years submissions;
this will make a great addition
to your Uechi-ryu library
and help support the privately
funded Uechi-ryu Journal.
Best
wishes for a healthy and prosperous
2006!
